Cockpit Recorder from the Germanwing’s Crash in the Swiss Alps Recovered

Cockpit Recorder from the Germanwing’s Crash in the Swiss Alps Recovered

Although the cause of the Germanwing Flight 4U 9525 crash into a remote area of the Swiss Alps on Tuesday has yet to be determined, the cockpit recorder has been discovered. The planes black box still hasn’t been found, however, sounds on the cockpit recorder are being analyzed. While all 150 passengers and crew are feared dead, French President Francois Hollande commended the quick reaction of the rescue workers.

Germany and Spain were hit the hardest with casualties of 72 and 49 respectively. Three British nationals were lost, with the U.S., Australia, Argentina, Iran and Venezuela losing two each of their citizens. Belgium, Columbia, Denmark, Israel, Japan, Mexico and The Netherlands each suffering a loss of one. The airplane was completely destroyed, and debris was scattered among a large remote area in a 6,561 foot altitude area of the Swiss Alps. Because the crash site is located in such an inaccessible expanse, the search will be “extremely long and extremely difficult,” say officials.

Zeca Oliveira (Fluminense.com) has learned that, of the 144 who were passengers aboard the flight, 16 were young German students, who were on an exchange trip along with two of their teachers. The students attended Joseph-Koenig-Gymnasium school in Haltern-am-See, Germany, where their peers honored them on Wednesday by shrouding the steps to the school’s entrance with flowers, candles and prayers. German Chancellor Angela Merkel personally visited Seyne-Les-Alpes, an area near the crash site, where she and French President Hollande and Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy met with recovery teams.

Each of the leaders expressed their sorrow and condolences to the families and friends of those on board the flight. Although none survived the crash, the quick response of the recovery team will allow for the area to be secured, so that the bodies and aircraft pieces can be protected, and an answer to what caused the disaster can be achieved.

Mission Impossible Trailer Breakdown

New Mission Impossible movies are not an everyday occurrence. The last film in the Mission Impossible franchise, Mission Impossible — Ghost Protocol, was released four years ago. So, fans were incredibly excited this week when they received the treat of getting to see a trailer for the upcoming Mission Impossible — Rogue Nation set to be released July 31 this year.

Fans like Zeca Oliveira know that a lot happens in the trailer. There’s so much action and plot development that viewers have commented that they have had to re-watch it several times to see everything.

The Mission Impossible Force, or IMF, has been disbanded right has its leader Ethan Hunt, who has been played by Tom Cruise since the first movie in 1996, has discovered that there is a secret nation of black ops style assassins and spies called the Syndicate that has similar mandates to the IMF but is entirely evil. Hunt and his team, including Brandt, Dunn and Stickell from Ghost Protocol, must then find and fight the Syndicate without any help from Washington along with help from a mysterious woman who saves Hunt from some shady operatives early on in the trailer.

As Obesity Became a Disease, Weight Loss Became an Industry

As Obesity Became a Disease, Weight Loss Became an Industry

Problems with weight is nothing new. People have been dealing with weight issues almost since the dawn of time. But it wasn’t until the early part of the 1900‘s that the medical field jumped on the bandwagon and people quite literally became worth their weight in gold.
Doctors began prescribing thyroid medicine to their overweight, but otherwise healthy, patients in the 1920‘s to help them lose weight. The 1930‘s ushered in the use of the chemical DNP (2,4-dinitrophenol) for weight loss. Each subsequent decade saw more and more weight loss drugs hit the market. Some were effective in the short term, but more often than not the new weight loss drugs did more longterm harm, as in the case of the widely used fen-phen drug which was responsible for the deaths of several of its users.
Health-conscious people like Brian Torchin know that, even with all the weight loss drugs, people were getting heavier by the decade and looking for a magic-pill type cure. The medical community was and still is only too happy to oblige, because as obesity became a disease, weight loss became an industry than lines the drug manufacturer’s pockets with money.
There’s no shortage of clients in the weight loss industry either. As any dieter can attest, most of the weight lost, by whatever method, rarely stays off for the rest of the person’s life. The weight creeps back on the body, causing the person to become a repeat customer and making the weight loss industry an even bigger business.

Taylor Swift’s Albums Now Available on TIDAL Streaming

Taylor Swift’s Albums Now Available on TIDAL Streaming

Major music news at the end of last year was Taylor Swift withdrawing all of her albums from Spotify, as she felt artists were not getting the compensation they deserved when their music was played. The big news this week is Taylor Swift’s music is back on a streaming service, but not on Spotify. Instead, the singer has put her music on Hov’s music-streaming service TIDAL.

Fans, however, are still in for a disappointment as, although all of Taylor’s older albums are available for streaming on TIDAL, they will not find her latest album 1989 there. Even though TIDAL mistakenly had a link listed to the album for a few hours yesterday.

In fact, fans like Brad Reifler know that Taylor Swift’s management have already addressed the TIDAL mistake saying 1989 is not available for streaming on any service, and that does include TIDAL. At least for the near future.

TIDAL, of course, is owned by American rapper Jay Z, so it probably is not that surprising Swift has allowed the service to have her music. After all, TIDAL is already offering artists a larger revenue share than Spotify pays, and plans to increase incentives in the future as well.

With a base subscription fee of $19.99 a month, however, TIDAL may just end up with the revenue to be able to beat Spotify, as well as pull in even more artists disgruntled by what they perceive as low compensation for their music.

Alcoholic Hangover Cure Is In The Works

Alcoholic Hangover Cure Is In The Works

Beer is the most popular alcoholic beverage in the United States and, possibly, the world. It comes in a wide variety of styles, flavors, and packaging. Over the last decade or so, there has been a huge demand for craft beer. Microbreweries have been popping up nationwide with a new, bold flavor and interesting name for their beer. Now scientists are getting on the beer bandwagon. They are currently researching and developing a new beer formula that will actually cure a hangover. Yes, you read that correctly. There has always been an old wives tale that they best hangover cure is to start drinking again. That may eventually become good advice. Brad Reifler has learned that the scientists are working towards a goal of an electrolyte packed beer that will help retain the body’s liquid rather than dehydrating it as alcohol typically does. If this beer eventually comes to fruition, there will be a whole bunch of thrilled college students.

Neighbors With Benefits Premier Proves to be Awkward

Neighbors With Benefits Premier Proves to be Awkward

Last night premiered A&E’s latest documentary series, Neighbors With Benefits. The premise of the show follows a neighborhood of suburban swingers around documenting their controversial lifestyle. Perhaps a more appropriate name for the show would be Awkward Moments? I for one was terribly uncomfortable watching as the events unfolded.

I have to be honest, I was incredibly curious about the lifestyle which is partly why I tuned into the show. It didn’t take me long to realize how complicated and ridiculous it was, though. In order to live the swinger lifestyle, there are a series of rules each couple must follow.
For one, couples should not communicate one on one with a fellow swinger. Rather, everything must remain within a group context said Halpern. Believe it or not, safety is a priority for swingers so condoms are a must (that’s refreshing). I also think that you are required to dress scantily clad to attend swinger parties. Nearly all the swinger ladies were wearing Bodycon dresses or tube tops. Easy access perhaps? Judging purely from my own observations, I would also say to participate in the swinger lifestyle, you have to be very drunk. If not, the entire thing seems like it would be completely uncomfortable and awkward.
The show is a nice reminder that married couples need to keep the spice and excitement in their marriage. However, I would have to guess if anyone was considering joining the lifestyle, after this show they may have changed their mind.

Durst Arrest is a Mess

Durst Arrest is a Mess

Robert Durst was recently arrested in Louisiana on gun and drug charges. He is also wanted in California for the 2000 murder of his best friend Susan Berman. Durst is a scion of a million dollar real estate fortune and seems to suffer from several illnesses including mental illness.

The entire business is made more convoluted because he is also suspected in the 1985 disappearance of his wife Kathleen and also the murder of his neoghbor, Morris Black. Durst just finished making and had aired on HBO, a documentary about this entire mess. He states he didn’t kill Berman, but later had a “hot” microphone and basically states he did it. The documentary makes the entire incident more troublemsome because there was evidence that came from the fim that might be compromised now that it has been broadcast. Law officials say the film did not influence their decision to charge Durst, but the indictments came out in conjunction with the documentary according to Fersen Lambranho.

I believe if Durst did half the stuff he is accused of, including the guns and drug charges, then he should be sent to jail for the rest of his life. He seems like the kind of person that needs to be locked away and undergo psychological counseling for his problems. Now I know we don’t convict on what a person looks or acts like, but he has been recorded admitting at least to the murder of Susan Berman and the evidence they have released points directly at him for the murder. He needs to be sent away and then treated.Your text to link…

Foods That Help You Sleep

Foods That Help You Sleep

Many of us have trouble falling asleep at a reasonable hour, as well as staying awake during the day and food is most likely the culprit.

Healthy individuals like Alexei Beltyukov know that food is directly associated with serotonin, a key hormone that, along with vitamin B6, B12 and folic acid, helps promote healthy sleep. More on Beltyukov can be found on Behance.net.

Here are some examples of foods and nutrients that give you that rest yous’re looking for;

1 Complex carbohydrates: whole grain products including breads, cereals, pasta and crackers comprehensive and include brown rice provides complex carbohydrates.

Avoid simple carbohydrates including refined flour products and sweets like cookies, cakes and pastries and other sugary foods. These foods tend to reduce serotonin levels and do not promote sleep.

2. Lean protein: lean proteins include low-fat cheese, turkey, chicken and fish. These foods are high in the amino acid tryptophan, which tends to increase serotonin levels

On the other hand, it is recommended to avoid high-fat cheeses, chicken wings or deep fried fish. These foods take longer to digest and may keep you awake

3. Heart Healthy Fats: To strengthen your heart ditch the saturated fats for unsaturated fats. They boost your level of serotonin and can even improve your mood. Eat more peanut butter, walnuts, and almonds.

Saturated and trans fats like potato chips, potato snacks and other packaged snacks are likely high in the bad fats and tend to lower serotonin levels.

4. Drinking: certain drinks can promote or prevent sleep. A good drink to take before bedtime is a warm glass of milk or herbal tea like chamomile or mint tea.

Geneva hotel location shows a change of option for The Dorchester Collection

Geneva hotel location shows a change of option for The Dorchester Collection

Under the ownership of the Sultan of Brunei The Dorchester Collection has shown it has the financial muscle and leadership to challenge at the very top of the luxury hotel industry. Zimbabwe born CEO Christopher Cowdray has led the chain almost since its inception in 2006 and has made sure the reputation of he Dorchester Collection has remained intact with every step and move made in the expansion of the chain from five to nine hotels by the start of 2015. The choice of partnering with the owner of the Le Richemond and becoming hotel managers and stewards may seem like a strange choice for one of the richest hotel chains in the world, but it shows the need to grow can take any form for The Dorchester Collection.

Christopher Cowdray led the company to success as many luxury hotel chains struggled in the early part of the 21st century. For the leaders of The Dorchester Collection and Cowdray the need to grow and expand the chain was something they knew could not be ignored, the need for the perfect locations and possible partnership options were all considered early in the development of the brand. Eventually, The Dorchester Collection decided upon remaining a small hotel group that would remain only in those locations that clients wanted to visit and they were expected to, such as the exclusive Swiss city of Geneva.

The Dorchester Collection has now opened up a large new area of expansion that could see the chain become the managers of some of the best respected luxury hotels in the world without having to undergo the process of purchasing them. People can visit YouTube and see videos posted about it. By opening up the opportunity of managing the hotels of other owners the expansion plans of The Dorchester Collection could be sped up over the coming decade or so and see new markets opened up. At the present time the chain is rooted on the west coast of North America and in Europe, but hopes to soon open up more locations in the northeast if the US and Europe. A major market being explored in Asia, where the company hopes to expand into areas of China where business leaders spend a large amount of their time.
