NutriMost is Tailored to Each User

NutriMost is Tailored to Each User

Recently a NutriMost competitor tried to profit off the work and materials that the company made for the promotion of products. Promotional videos that share the story of the product, introduce it to new customers, and shares success stories from real users was copied and used in place of another brand. Rather than making their own videos and material this brand thought it was acceptable to just copy over and replace product pictures with their own similar products.

While the two products both fall into the health and weight loss category, NutriMost is very unique from other products. The special formula helps doctors and nutritionist pinpoint exact areas and ways in high your body stores fat and metabolizes, using bio-markers. This added benefit means that you aren’t just using a one size fits all weight loss solution, but something that can be tailored specifically to you and your body.

When you are able to better understand your body and what it needs, it is easier to maintain a healthy weight and lifestyle. Nutrimost makes this a possibility for each and every user. Unlike other products you don’t have to worry about fast weight loss that comes right back after you’ve stopped using the system because it is meant to support your lifestyle as you change the way you eat and exercise.

Danilo Diaz-Granados Turns His Boyhood Dream Into A Reality

Danilo Diaz-Granados Turns His Boyhood Dream Into A Reality

Miami has become a Latino city. It all started in the 1960s when Fidel Castro overthrew the U.S. backed Cuban government and turned Cuba into a communist state. Thousands of Cubans left their homeland and arrived in Miami to start a new life. The Cuban immigration hasn’t stopped. In fact, Latinos from Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Colombia, Guatemala, Mexico, El Salvador, Brazil, Honduras, and Nicaragua have joined the Cubans. More than 70 percent of the population of Miami is Latino. And most of those people were born in other countries. Danilo Diaz-Granados, the Venezuelan entrepreneur, dreamed of living in Miami when he was a boy, and when he graduated from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts with a degree in economics, the first move Danilo made was to settle in Miami.

Granados knew that Miami was the city that offered him the most in terms of employment and other business opportunities. The current domestic output in Miami is more than $140 billion a year, and Danilo wanted to contribute to that bubbling economy. Granados was offered a job with Fireman Capital Partners as an associate investment advisor, and that position gave him the experience and the connections to expand his business abilities. Granados developed an influential Latino client list, and he learned that Miami’s retail base didn’t offer his clients what they needed. Danilo knew that his clients wanted to buy the best of the best in cars, jewelry, clothes, shoes and other accessories and they wanted to do it in one place. His male-based client list were not shoppers they were business people, and they had one thing on their minds, and that was making money.

Danilo had enough money saved to open a retail company that gave his clients what they wanted. He called his new business Toys for Boys, and the company got the support of many of Danilo’s clients. His investment job and his retail venture gave Granados the funds to start his own film company, and he called it Edge of Glory Films. Edge of Glory Films documents the lives of Latinos.Granados is going to expand the topic his film company documents over the next five years.  Follow his journey on Instagram, and make sure you give Danilo a like on Facebook.

Kyle Bass’ Tactics Seem Underhanded

Kyle Bass’ Tactics Seem Underhanded

It’s hard to tell, with financial practices, what is and is not underhanded. Sometimes a loan is really a debt extension, while sometimes it’s a lifeline. Context defines everything, and when exploring the context of Kyle Bass’ rather controversial investment decisions, ethical underhandedness is almost always present; even from the very beginning.

Before Kyle Bass was the media personality with the reputation he has today, he worked for Bear-Stearns, one of the top five investment banks on Wall Street prior the 2008 financial collapse. When his employment with Bear-Stearns dissolved, Bass let drop a tip which hit financial news outlets and caused Stearns to go under by the end of the week, being bought out by J.P. Morgan-Chase. Later in 2008, the Great Recession hit, from which Bass substantially capitalized by short-selling sub-prime loans at the right time. No wonder he made it big, he was part of the downfall itself!

Then there’s CAD. The Coalition for Affordable Drugs truly plays the part of a cad, forcing big-ticket pharmaceutical companies to lower drug prices for the ostensible purpose of aiding the poor and infirm in a humanitarian way. The real purpose is subsequent Wall Street stock declination which Bass capitalizes on via the short-sell, making millions. Meanwhile, the drug companies can’t research or develop anything that year–or for a while afterward, usually–with such a funding loss, meaning new developments are indefinitely suspended, and the infirm are no closer to health.

Finally, Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, a woman so bad with money that she has cast Argentina into default twice over the last thirteen years, is a regularly supported person by Bass. He is always quick to sing her praises.

With all these things in mind, when Bass says things like China’s economy will face an implosion like 2008’s, but not quite so bad, and that it will happen in two to three years with a forty to fifty percent likelihood of hitting by the end of 2016, understand that he’s not really saying anything. He’s just prodding under-experienced financiers into withdrawing investiture, making his remarks somewhat self-fulfilling. To qualify that, Bass has been predicting China’s downfall since October 2015, and yet as of July, he’s now saying that should China “Materially” devalue their currency, it could be the most historically exciting time to invest in Asian markets. It looks like Bass’ manipulation tactic isn’t working, and he’s got to backpedal fast. Either way, his methodology is decidedly underhanded.

The New Master Chef at Brian Bonar’s Escondido Restaurant

The New Master Chef at Brian Bonar’s Escondido Restaurant

The Ranch at Bandy Canyon has a new star chef, Patrick Ponsaty from Toulouse in France. Ponsaty first priority is to transform the downtown Escondido restaurant into a dining destination reminiscent of gites of France. Ponsaty is one of only two San Diego chefs to earn the prestigious Meilleurs Ouvrier de France.

The establishment in which Ponsaty will ply his culinary skills looks eerily similar to a charming 1890’s adobe remade into a popular farm-driven eatery. A plan to redesign the dated dining room is already in the works. The presence of Ponsaty at The Ranch from his previous position as Executive Chef at El Bizcocho at Rancho Bernardo hasn’t gone unnoticed, even though the soft spoken chef is not clamoring for fame.

Some of the trappings to look for in the menu include quenelle of magenta-hued beet Sorbet from Suzie’s Farm; wild boar; locally sought mushrooms and sea scallops placed on lightly truffle-scented carpaccio. The other enrichments to look forward to include Bordeaux’s very own tender canales and cherry-spiked gateau Basque.

Ponsaty credits his successes at El Bizcocho to the support he he received from Bandy Canyon owner Brian Bonar and Gianina Pickens his stepdaughter, who is a big fan. Ponsaty’s tenure at El Bizcocho at Rancho Bernardo Inn was marked by many achievements, including tutelage of Chef Gavin Kaysen. This article was initially published in Modern Luxury Magazine on September 2013.

Doe Deere, A Doll Maker And An Artist Who Creates “Lazy” Art

Doe Deere, A Doll Maker And An Artist Who Creates “Lazy” Art

Doe Deere is the founder and CEO of Lime Crime makeup, a brand that creates modern cosmetics with wild, crazy color palettes women around the world have fallen in love with.

Doe Deere, like the unusual name of her makeup brand, is not your average young woman. She was born in Russia, and her family moved here when she was young. Against the odds, Doe Deere began a small cosmetics company, because she had a difficult time finding vibrant, colorful makeup. Today, Lime Crime has arrived with a huge Instagram following at some 300,000.

Her fan base is loyal and social media-savvy, and Instagram has become a welcome place to submit photos wearing Lime Crime makeup. There, you will also find gorgeous photos of Doe Deere with her now blue, cotton candy-colored tresses and lovely bold lips and painted eyes.

Her personal photos are so striking and doll-like, that one famous artist Richard Prince decided he wanted to use her image and that of a 23-inch fashion doll for his next work of art.

Prince took a screen shot of Doe Deere posing with a masterpiece created by her close friend and talented doll maker Joshua David McKenney. The custom made doll from his Pidgin brand looked exactly like the Lime Crime founder with matching hair color, vivid makeup and attire. Below the photo were Doe Deere’s words about her artist friend McKenney and his gorgeous Doe Deere doll re-creation.

Prince took the screen shot and super-sized it to dimensions of a 48-by-65-inch print. Then, he removed her text and inserted his own, and the stolen screen shot was now his without the copyright rules one would figure might matter.

Doe Deere’s lovely face and that of Joshua David McKenney’s 23-inch beautiful doll were now part of some “lazy” art created by Richard Prince and hanging at the New York Frieze Art Fair. The striking print then sold quickly at $90,000.

Both Doe Deere and Joshua David McKenney were shocked, because Prince never approached them for permission to use the screen shot. The spotlight was now on the makeup maven and popular doll maker but not for the right reasons. McKenney, especially, was heartbroken that the other artist had deleted his name from the doll gifted to Doe Deere. In other words, McKenney’s doll had become a prop for the artist’s mission, and everything about the doll, such as being carefully and exquisitely made, was purposely deleted in the process.

Doe Deere and McKenney both feel that an artist should never profit off the back of another fellow artist. It’s a lousy thing to do and renders someone’s work voiceless.

Lime Crime and Pidgin are two brands that really matter.
