True Detective has added another major star in their quest to get the most big names on television. True Detective season 1 starred Woody Harrellson and Matthew McConaughey and the two propelled the show to massive heights and cementing showrunner Nic Pizzolatos role in the television business.
Season 2 is also set to have a number of huge stars including Colin Farrell and Rachel Mcadams.
The show was an unexpected hit for HBO and was prized for both it’s interesting storytelling as well as some of the unique camera shots that were seeded throughout the show. Another interesting thing about True Detective is they are planning to replace the actors after every season.
This opens up the show to a number of actors who otherwise would ignore a television role due to the fact that they do not want to be committed to the show for a long period of time. The fact that they can now star on a huge tv show on HBO without a long term commitment is probably going to change the way that many television executives do business. Regardless, the team at The Aspire feel season 2 of True Detective is shaping up to be one of the most hotly anticipated series in recent television history. With such a stellar cast of actors and some of the best writers in the business it is hard to see where this crew can go wrong. True Detective Season 2 starts in June 2015.
