Critics Scathe Over Terminator: Genisys

Everyone knows Arnold Schwarzenegger for his iconic role in the Terminator franchise. Spanning over four decades, this franchise has churned out 4 action-packed movies that will forever be remembered, but not everyone is on board with the most recent release named Terminator: Genisys. So what’s this movie about and why is it getting such a hard time?

In a nutshell, Andy Wirth says this Terminator movie takes a trip back in time to 1984, so don’t expect any post-apocalyptic Earth to happen just yet. In this installment, John Connor sends a sergeant back in time to help protect a younger Sarah Connor and the future. However, something goes wrong and the timeline is fractured. When Sergeant Kyle Reese arrives in 1984 he finds himself surrounded by strange allies along with some threatening enemies. The mission here? Give the future the reset that it sorely needs.

As always, the critics have broken this movie down, calling it an unfulfilling experience with more questions than answers. It got a measly 26% approval rating and 4.8 out of ten scoring. But isn’t that how a time paradox goes? And since when does anyone listen to critics, who are very well known for their ability to overjudge something with a closed mind?
Ultimately, the audience will have to decide whether this movie is worth the 156 million budget it took to make it. Until then, no judgment on the movie will really count for anything.
